Thanks for being actual journalists!

Wow! I listen to this podcast as an independent and often feel it is slanted too left but that’s okay knowing a particular outlet’s bias left or right is part of vetting a news source and knowing how to filter things. Overall the Times does a pretty decent job of being balanced. Then, to see all the recent reviews melting down about their coverage of the election just because they reported on how a large swathe of the electorate views each candidate good and bad really makes me wonder about the reviewers mental health.

The burning dumpster fire that became The Daily

I’m a subscriber to the paper’s Sunday print edition and it has been a few years since I’d tuned in to The Daily. Imagine my surprise hearing the biased, factually inaccurate episode about presumptive Presidential Nominee Kamala Harris. I’m comfortable with dissenting opinions but how the hosts presented polling stale polling data as proof for Harris’s “unlikability” when many voters were barely 36 hours into getting to know her current record. To avoid mentioning that, at the time of recording this episode, the Harris campaign had raised more small donor dollars in a single day than any candidate in history is journalistic failure. Barbaro and the senior producers should be fired. Sharing the story of this gross incompetence with anyone I know who may have also trusted this podcast’s reporting in previous years.

Corporate Sell Outs

It's so clear how bought and paid for the host and publishers of this podcast are. Don't fall for it. This is how we slip into authoritarianism. Unsubscribing for good.
