By Thanksgiving 1993, Caroline Jones, a granddaughter of Indiana Jones, had become an adult and the mother of Harry. After she had presented the turkey to the Jones family, she sat with her son and asked if he wanted cranberry sauce. His refusal and unwillingness to even try it prompted Indiana to recount his time in China in 1910.

Behind the scenes[]

Actress Candy Aston is listed as portraying "Caroline Jones" in the credits at the end of "Peking, March 1910". Her first line on the show is "How's it look, Grandpa?" to Old Indy, thereby establishing their relationship. Another granddaughter named Lucy is mentioned in "Ireland, April 1916" and is a separate character.

While Caroline is established as the granddaughter of Indiana Jones, it is unknown through which of Indiana's children that is (Mutt, Sophie, or a potential other offspring). It is also unknown if Caroline is the mother of Annie Jones, Indiana's great-granddaughter, who also appears in "Peking, March 1910".
