We accomplished this remarkable achievement through dedication and sporting excellence in Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Throwball, and Football, across both men's and women's categories. Global Capability Centers (GCCs) have evolved significantly over the past few decades. This evolution reflects the broader trends in globalisation, technological advancements, and the increasing sophistication of business processes. Very recently Zyoin Group hosted a webinar on the topic of "From Start to Scale: Navigating Challenges in Growing GCCs”. Select panel of industry leaders and GCC site heads (from ZoomInfo, Sanofi, and Blackhawk) participated in this webinar. Blackhawk India was represented by our site leader Romit Sen. Romit spoke about the critical success factors required to set up a successful GCC in India. The 3-Cs he spoke about are: 💡 Congruence with parent organisation: Ensure that the goals, objectives, and operations of the GCC are closely aligned with the strategic priorities of the parent organisation. 💡 Collaboration & Communication: Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams and departments within the GCC and with the parent organisation 💡 Continuous Evaluation: Regularly evaluate performance and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and optimise processes in line with the parent entity. In continuation to our CSR initiatives, Blackhawk Network India has partnered with The Akshaya Patra Foundation for the Mid-Day Meal and Digital Education Program. This reflects our dedication to nurturing the potential of the underprivileged, fostering education, and combating hunger. The initiatives undertaken included:   1.    Provide nutritious meals for a whole year for 700 children, studying in 12 Government schools in Bellary location in Karnataka. Our team took part in the mid-day meal programme in Government schools in Hyderabad and Delhi and spent quality time with the kids. 2.    As part of Akshayapatra’s Digital Education Programme, we provided 40 Android tablets to students pursuing computer science at BBMP Pre-University College Kaveripura, Bangalore.   We would like to thank all our volunteers who actively participated in the CSR drives, without whom our mission wouldn’t have been possible. 💚   Special mention to The Akshaya Patra Foundation, who gave us a chance to be part of their mission and work relentlessly to bring change to our society. 

We are pleased to welcome Rushendra Babu Guntur (goes by Rushi), our new Senior Director- Engineering at Blackhawk Network India.    Prior to Blackhawk, Rushi has worked with Utthunga Technologies as CTO, where he was responsible for building their digital transformation solutions portfolio.  He has 20+ years of experience in Product Engineering in various domains including Retail and Industrial Digital Transformation. Rushi has been an entrepreneur running his company for over a decade serving various customers including a US-based startup in the payments space.   His favorite book is "Jack : Straight from the Gut" and he loves listening to Carnatic music in his spare time.

The purpose of life is to give it away.” —Pablo Picasso   Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an essential aspect of our commitment to create a positive impact on the communities we serve. Blackhawk believes that education and healthcare are essential pillars of progress, and by addressing these needs, we are contributing to a brighter future for society. 💪   This year again we have partnered with Right To Live, for their initiatives aimed at enhancing education and well-being.   1.     We have introduced Smart Board, conducted eye camps and distributed spectacles at three government schools of various regions of Bagepalli Taluk benefitting 410 students. 2.     We have worked on setting up of computer lab at Govt PU College, Agrahara Dasarahalli, Bangalore. Over 231 students from Grades 11 and 12 will now have access to computers and high-speed internet. Over 50 of these students are pursuing Computer Science.   Thank you to all the volunteers who actively participated in the CSR drives without whom our mission wouldn’t have been possible.   Special mention for Right To Live who gave us a chance to be part of their mission and work relentlessly to bring change to society. 

We’re thrilled to welcome Om Vikram Thapa, Director of Engineering in Commerce Solutions team at Blackhawk Network India. Om brings 16 years of experience in the software industry, he has Goibibo, MakeMyTrip, Amazon, RedBus, and Mcube Investment Solutions under his belt. He mostly worked in startups, out of which 11 years were in B2C and 5 years were in B2B. He believes in “Ecube”, which stands for Energetic, Enthusiastic, and Efficient enough to deal with real-time problems in technology and products. We believe that his experience will be critical to our team, as we continue to grow and achieve our goals in that domain. Aside from growing partnerships with other Engineering leaders, he will be working closely with product and business partners to ensure continued support to our customers. Outside of work, Om is all about writing blogs on Medium, creating presentations on SlideShare, tweeting about Messi, and playing football on weekends.
