Really excited for this one, for obvious reasons and for even more obvious reasons ❤️ Links in the comments ## It's easy to take for granted that at the end of the day, the main aspect of our job as #ProductMarketingManager is to effectively communicate what the product does (features), the benefits of using it, and how it addresses specific customer pain points. This focus on #messaging and #positioning is what 92% of respondents in a Product Marketing Alliance survey identified as a significant part of their role. Essentially, it's about crafting the words, expressions, problems, and solutions that position our product on "the right shelf" where it has the best chance to stand out and be chosen. Messaging and positioning are certainly not new concepts in the world of marketing and sales, and their precursors can still be found in supermarket aisles, retail stores, and car dealerships. When dealing with digital products that cannot be touched, tasted, or sat in, this task becomes particularly challenging, especially when the market is saturated with competing products, and differentiation through unique messaging is crucial. To give you a professional, practical, and experienced perspective on how to approach messaging for a wide range of products, from enterprise to small businesses, in an environment where differentiation is challenging and success is highly valuable, I've invited Lilach Dahan, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Kaltura. Here is a great video (it's in English, with Hebrew subtitles), summarizing all the things you need to know about where we are at with anti-semitism and hatred in the world. It was sent to me this morning by a treasured friend and reflects all the things that I, and many other people, have been saying here since October 7. For those of you who do not know the author Douglas Murray, he is not Jewish. But he explains the motives behind and implications of anti-semitism in a way that can be easily understood. I highly recommend you watch this video. Here are a few of the many key takeaways: -- That anti-semitism is the canary in the coal mine. When it's okay to express hate against Jews, any other group can become a target, and likely will. -- That the Islamic terrorism experienced on October 7 in Israel (and many, many, many times before) is the same Islamic terrorism experienced everywhere else in the world, like the bombing of the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, the Bataclan nightclub attack, and so many more. I feel this acutely, having lost a beloved colleague on 9/11. -- That civilization itself flourishes because of Judaism and the contributions of Jews (think medicine, arts, philanthropy, technology, etc.). -- That the accusations against the Jewish nation are externalized deficiencies. This is a well-known psychological principle, but somehow overlooked in this situation. TL;DR: anytime you accuse someone of something, you'd better look in the mirror. Let me know what you think. Large language models (LLMs) are powerful tools, but they can be like black boxes - we input something, we get a response, but how the LLM arrived at that answer is a mystery. This lack of understanding can be risky. Here's why researchers are interested in cracking the LLM code: Safer AI: If we can understand how LLMs think, we can better identify and fix biases or potential safety issues. Improved Control: Imagine being able to fine-tune an LLM's response by directly adjusting its internal representations. This could lead to more precise and helpful outputs. Greater Transparency: Understanding how LLMs work would boost trust and allow for more responsible use of this technology. There have been recent advances in "mapping" the LLM mind. Researchers have identified groups of interconnected concepts within the LLM, which they liken to features in a human brain. This is a big step towards unveiling the inner workings of these complex systems.

🌟 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐇𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡, 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫 🌟 TL:DR - This YouTube screenshot BLOWS MY MIND🤯 So, I had a "pinch me moment" this weekend. In short, an idol, a hero of mine, included me in one of his popular YouTube videos all about the inner workings of pro-wrestling. For extra context, the man in this image pointing to an image of me is none other than "Mike Quackenbush" (genius name), and he has worked within professional wrestling for the past 25+ years. Now, a quick speed story as to why 2024 is absolutely mad to me: When I went to uni at Canterbury Christ Church University, I’d watch Mike Quackenbush and his team produce a unique wrestling show called "CHIKARA," which I would download weekly onto my iPod Video (yeah, 2006 baby!). Anyway, I watched this man build his team, his company, and himself into one of the most influential wrestling peeps on the planet. ANY modern wrestling you watch right now, you WILL find a Mike Quackenbush fingerprint. Fast forward to today, it absolutely boggles my mind that I can call Mike Quackenbush my idol and mentor. For context, I am 37 years old now, but if 18.5-year-old me knew that in "double your lifetime" this'll happen, it would blow my tiny (wrestling-obsessed) mind. Side note: Although Mike's work is pro-wrestling focused, many of the lessons taught can be applied to "the real world." This comment is more for those who have directly worked with me: If you've ever thought anything nice about me or my work, I guarantee Mr. Mike Quackenbush is the genesis of that idea. Without Mike Quackenbush, not only his coaching but his life story, I certainly wouldn't be part promoting UKPW live events. Actually, I probably wouldn't have done half as much as I have/did in UK British Wrestling. Quick story: CHIKARA would run the largest (non-WWE/big-time player) wrestling tournament in the world, called "The King Of Trios," where wrestlers from around the world would be invited to participate. My "ultimate (realistic) goal" was to take part in a "King Of Trios" and represent UKPW—I really thought in 2019 going into 2020 I had a solid chance of that. (We all know what global "thingy" happened.) Since then, Mike started his YouTube channel "Til We Make It" to accompany his four "insider" pro-wrestling books. When Mike started the channel, I reached out to say how much I enjoyed his videos. His incredibly fast and polite response led to Mike coaching me from afar for the past four years. I've got to do some pretty cool things, and whether directly or indirectly, Mike has been my long-distance trainer. Bonus Point: I'd love to hear (or tag) people who have made a difference in your working life. This measure, part of the broader "National Infrastructure Bill" enacted a year ago to close Israel's major infrastructure gap, is HUGE. It aims to overcome the "Utility Coordination" challenge, notoriously the weakest link in every project life cycle — key to delivering Israel's mega-projects on time over the next decade and essential for sustaining rapid economic growth. Why is this so crucial? - Israel's productivity gap (GDP per hour worked) is the biggest challenge to realizing its economic growth potential. - Alongside the demographic challenge, aggressively addressing the "Infrastructure Gap" is a top priority. - Approximately 25% of the productivity gap is attributed to infrastructure deficiencies in transportation, particularly mass transit. - Over the next 10-15 years, Israel will invest more than NIS 0.5 trillion in capital projects for Transportation and Energy (1.5-2% increase in investment of GDP annually).
