Thank you @robinwpdeveloper . Yes this note was due to be published before the meeting on Wednesday. The notetaker has now sent a draft I understand, but it is not attached to this ticket. I will follow up. Robin, if extra help is needed, I will contact you. Thank you for offering.

Hello @Ad-Mk thank you for your draft notes. Some of the comments below cover materials covered in the APAC training session put on for new notetakers last week, which I think you did not get to. I know a second session is being looked at for those contributors who have additional questions on the block editor, and you will be invited to that too. Thank you for your first go at the notes. Can you please let us know in advance if you are unable to make a deadline as someone else may be able to assist you. The sooner we know, we can assist.

I have combined the comments @abhansnuk has made already with my comments below. This should help you make the changes.

  • the link to Slack for the start of the meeting goes to 28 September rather than 5 October
  • in 1) the notetaker reference should be to the previous week's notes. I can see why this would have been confusing from the meeting. I will check the handbook, as I think a change was made by Nalini to make this clearer for notetakers. It should be the Marketing Team meeting notes, September 28, 2022 - @slspellar911. Special thanks for drafting her first marketing team notes. In the notes review bullet point for that meeting, it should then list Larissa and Nalini.
  • the GitHub link in 1) first bullet point goes to the 12th Oct GitHub card instead of 5th.
  • for WordPress.org IDs, please remove the links. All you need is the @ then the WordPress ID, and the blog will give you the relevant ID to select. If you add a link, the person's ID does not update their profile.
  • point 2) first bullet point, the link to the Slack thread goes to the meeting on the 28th. Please can you go through the blog post and check the links under preview. Note, I have not checked all the links.
  • point 2) social question - the link to the Slack thread goes to the meeting on the 28th
  • point 3) the list of IDs are Slack ones. These need to be changed to WordPress.org IDs
  • the arrows used in Slack to help differentiate the next agenda item are not needed in the blog and can be deleted from every section in the blog please. I will add a note on this to the handbook page for notetakers. Thanks.
  • point 3) is as per the comment in the first person. This needs to be changed for the notes as it is reporting on the meeting. There are a few occasions where a direct quote may be helpful, and in those cases, we would tend to put it into quote marks and attribute it. A brief note on this will be added to the notes help guide too
  • point 4)a) please add the information from Brett to the notes. This will be in the thread
  • in the project we try and avoid shortened versions of words or expressions that are likely to be known by one country. This is to make it easier for those who are translating the post or translating as they read to avoid some of the difficulties that exist. This used to be in the handbook, I will check with Larissa and Meher if it needs readding as she had written a section on this previously
  • 4)b) Needs the update from Dan adding. This may be in the thread
  • 4)c) Needs additional line to include the update in the thread: WCAsia social content to go out on WordPress.org social accounts can be scheduled via Brett McSherry
  • 4)d) Additional update is in the thread

Under Open Floor there is an update from the meeting. I will add this once the changes above have been made. Please do not publish the notes when you have finished going through the above.

@abhansnuk can you please add the summary on the APAC discussion on coffee breaks to this as an additional update. There was a google document with the previous discussions on this. Would this be a useful link for a summary? After publishing, you may need to change the date of publishing so that the notes Robin has done from this week sits as the latest post. If this would changes the web address, then can you please set an earlier publishing date and add a note at the top of the post to reflect this and the actual publishing date.

Thank you @Ad-Mk and @abhansnuk.

We are all always learning new things together @Ad-Mk . Were you able to update the Slack thread links to the individual threads please Adeeb? I have tried one or two and they are going to the channel itself rather than the thread. Thank you.

Hi @Ad-Mk, could you please check the following slack thread links used. They are not working for me.

    1. Link to the social question: this goes to an earlier meeting when I click on it.
  • UPDATE: I have updated the other one now, but can you please look at the link above please and update it if needed.

4)a) needs the stats update from the thread, and Brett's Slack ID needs changing to the WP.org ID - you do not need to add a link, the site will do this automatically when you click on his profile.

4b)the update shared by Dan and Nicholas in the thread need adding please.

4c) Could you make Brett's ID a WP.org ID (as described above please)

4d) the last line should be Month in WP, and needs the update adding too please linking to the GitHub card 109 which had been updated #109.

4e) Reyes' ID needs to be a WP.org one and does not need a link adding (please see above for info)

  1. After open floor updates, the update from Starbucks needs a summary and a link to the Slack thread or any relevant GitHub card if Adeeb you wanted to write this, Nalini can review it for you too. It is an area I think you would be interested in.

Thanks Adeeb. We're almost there with this.
