Email FAQs

1. Tap on Mail.
2. Tap on Accounts.
3. Tap on Add Account.
4. Tap on Other.
5. Tap on Add Mail Account under “Mail.”
6. Type in the following:
   1. Name: Your name as you want it to appear on outgoing email.
   2. Email: Your full @unitedwireless.com email address.
   3. Password: Your email password
   4. Description: By default, it will fill in your full email address; feel free to change this if you’d like.
7. Tap on Next in the upper, right-hand corner.
8. Make sure IMAP is selected at the top.
9. Type in the following under Incoming Mail Server:
   1. Host Name: imap.unitedwireless.com
   2. Username: Your full @unitedwireless.com email address.
   3. Password: Your email password
10. Type in the following under Outgoing Mail Server:
    1. Host Name: smtp2.unitedwireless.com
    2. Username: Your full @unitedwireless.com email address.
    3. Password: Your email password
11. Tap on Next in the upper, right-hand corner.
12. Tap on Done in the upper, right-hand corner.

1. Tap on Settings.
2. Tap on Cloud and accounts.
3. Tap on Accounts.
4. Tap on Add account.
5. Tap on Email.
6. Tap on Other.
7. Type in the following:
   1. Email address: Your full @ucom.net email address
   2. Password: Your email password
8. Tap on Manual setup in the lower, left-hand corner.
9. Select IMAP account.
10. Confirm that the following information is correct under Incoming server (correct it to what is below, if needed):
    1. IMAP server: imap.ucom.net
    2. Security type: SSL
    3. Port: 993
11. Confirm that the following information is correct under Outgoing server (correct it to what is below, if needed):
    1. SMTP server: smtp2.ucom.net
    2. Security type: SSL
    3. Port: 465
    4. Require authentication to send emails: Should be enabled/turned on
       1. Email address: Your full @ucom.net email address
       2. Password: Your email password
12. Tap on Next.
13. This page allows you to customize your Email sync period (All time is recommended) and Email sync schedule (the more frequently it automatically checks for new email, the quicker your battery will drain). Once you have made your adjustments, if applicable, tap on Done at the bottom of the screen.
14. The final page allows you to edit your names.
    1. Account name (optional): By default, it will fill in your full email address; feel free to change this if you’d like.
    2. Your name (for outgoing email): Your name as you want it to appear on the outgoing email.
15. Tap on Done at the bottom of the screen.

11. Confirm that the following information is correct under the Outgoing server (correct it to what is below, if needed):
    1. SMTP server: smtp2.unitedwireless.com
    2. Security type: SSL
    3. Port: 465
    4. Require authentication to send emails: Should be enabled/turned on
       1. Email address: Your full @unitedwireless.com email address
       2. Password: Your email password
12. Tap on Next.
13. Accessing your United email is as simple as going to https://webmail.ucom.net/ on your computer’s Internet browser and logging in with your full email address or password.

If you prefer to access your email using a desktop-based mail client, such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, please use the server settings below. Please note that setup instructions will vary depending on what mail client and version you are using.
