[Press Release] Safran Aircraft Engines has announced today at Farnborough International Airshow, the construction in #Queretaro of a new maintenance shop and the extension of its production plant, both dedicated to the #CFMLEAP engine. [#Sustainability 🌿] Do you know how Safran Aircraft Engines contributes to a more #SustainableAviation through the #CFMRISE program? We tell you everything! 🛫 The #CFMRISE program is the most promising and comprehensive R&T program in the industry to improve fuel efficiency by more than 20% for the next generation of commercial aircraft engines in the mid-2030s. RISE includes a disruptive open fan architecture that will be fully compatible with Sustainable Aviation Fuels and advanced hybrid electric systems to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80%. 💡 Safran Aircraft Engines is playing a key role in the RISE program as part of its ambitious sustainability roadmap by exploring several technology paths towards decarbonization. 🌱 Based on its long-standing experience on fan technologies, Safran Aircraft Engines is notably coordinating the demonstration of the RISE fan module as part of its leading role in the European Clean Aviation OFELIA program. In early 2024, Safran Aircraft Engines performed wind tunnel tests of the ECOENGInE, a 1:5 scale demonstrator of the future Open Fan at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab facilities in Modane, followed by a campaign with Airbus to evaluate this demonstrator under a wing. We have seen very promising performances in terms of aerodynamics and acoustics, moving forward to the next fan blade tests in our facility in Villaroche! A great challenge for our thousand talented engineers who believe in the aviation decarbonization. 👏 #DidYouKnow❓ For the #CFMLEAP engine, Safran has developed a unique patented technology for 3D composite fan blades, which serves as the foundation for the RISE fan blade design.

[Opération #MonStageDeSeconde] Durant deux semaines, vingt élèves de seconde ont plongé dans l'univers de @Safran Power Units grâce à l'initiative gouvernementale « Mon #stage de seconde ». Ces deux semaines ont été rythmées par la #visite de nos ateliers et la découverte de nos produits. Ils ont également participé à des ateliers créatifs pour exprimer leur perception de nos #activités 💡 Au-delà de ces #animations, ce stage a été un véritable moment d’échange entre ces élèves et les collaborateurs. A travers la présentation de leur métier et de leurs expériences, nos lycéens ont pu découvrir la diversité des #parcours de chacun. 💬 Et ces rencontres ont dépassé les frontières de Safran Power Units, le temps d’une matinée durant laquelle des joueurs du pôle espoirs du Stade Toulousain sont venus témoigner et échanger sur les valeurs du sport. Une #rencontre inspirante pour ces jeunes lycéens ! Bien qu’ils ne se connaissaient pas au départ, ils ressortent de ce stage avec des liens tissés et une meilleure compréhension de nos activités. Pari réussi ✔ Un grand merci à l'ensemble des personnes ayant contribué à l’organisation de ces semaines de stage ainsi qu’aux tuteurs qui ont accueilli ces jeunes dans leur quotidien !

This Support-By-the-Hour (SBH®) contract covers in-service support and MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) for more than 124 #Arriel 2E engines, from helicopter entry into service to 2030. [#PressRelease 📢] Safran Helicopter Engines will power the German Federal Police's (Bundespolizei) new fleet of Airbus Helicopters #H225 helicopters, the selection of which was announced at the ILA Berlin - Pioneering Aerospace show. The 38 helicopters will be powered by our #Makila 2A engines. The German Federal Police, which already operates a fleet of Makila-powered AS332 and H215 helicopters, is thus renewing its confidence in this performance proven engine. With this contract, its helicopter fleet will continue to be powered entirely by Safran. The Makila 2A, powering all variants of the H225, is a 2,100 shp engine which will contribute to expanding the Bundespolizei's operational capabilities. #ILA24 #ILABerlin
