    😨 A couple of weeks ago, in Ben Labay’s insightful conversation with Catherine Crim, she mentioned her struggle with getting buy-in across different teams at JCPenney. In this latest clip, Collin Crowell followed up and asked why she thinks this problem persists. Here’s what Catherine had to say: 🗣️ “To be frank, I think that the position that a lot of e-commerce retailers or retailers in general are in right now, people are scared, right? I mean, people are losing their jobs. Money's tight. The grocery store is frickin expensive. I think it's that people are scared to take a wrong step and haven't historically leveraged that wrong step to take the next right step. I feel that the enemy really is actually a flat test, right? I want to fall and hit my face on the ground so that I know the direction. I'm going to take a big swing and I hope to either hit it out of the park or fall flat on my face. Having an inconclusive result is just... a waste of time. And I didn't learn anything and I didn't figure out the direction.But people are scared of that failure, right.     🪄 "Bespoke Analyses and Where to Find Them" encapsulates what Dylan Lewis, an Experimentation Leader at Atlassian, is excited to tackle right now. In a conversation with Ben Labay, he talks about how to align an organization from doing custom analyses in notebooks to standardized tools: 🗣️ “How do we move from an organization that was doing bespoke analyses inside of notebooks into using the tools that we have? And so we have this discrepancy between the two different tools and […] teams are blocked because they don't understand the discrepancy. We need to fix that in order to be able to make it so that people can move faster and not worry about the delta. But we just need to get teams focused on that. So I'm on the soapbox of, 'Hey, these things are both right. One is doing this way and the other one's doing this way. Let's make them match up.'"
