Netherlands' Bosch Parade
a gallery curated by Flickr
After months of preparation in the Netherlands, the city of 's-Hertogenbosch (aka Den Bosch) holds the Bosch Parade, a tradition that started annually in 2010. It features custom vessels and costumed attendees, inspired by the Dutch artist Hieronymus Bosch, floating down the Dommel River. Made famous by painting spiritual beings and depictions of hell during the Renaissance, Bosch created fantastical imagery that's unmatched in art history.
