The "Grandad's" brand .308 caliber round is a full-size rifle cartridge used primarily in hunting rifles in the Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika before the Großer Krieg . In the post-War era, it has become a cartridge of choice for high-power conventional weapons and long-range sharpshooters.

Standard .308 is primarily used by highly accurate weapons, or by heavy automatic ones. .308 is particularly rare on the East Coast, but the Mojave has larger quantities of .308 available.
.308 Panzerbrechend[]
.308 armor piercing rounds are able to punch through lighter armor with ease. They exhibit a slight lack of actual wound-causing potential, but the high base damage of the round easily rectifies this.
.308 JSP[]
.308 jacketed soft point rounds exhibit all-around better penetration ability, but the nature of the ammunition also greatly increases the wear-and-tear on the weapon being fired.
.308 Hohlspitz[]
.308 hollow point rounds are especially devastating, considering the high impact of the round plus the flesh-shredding tip, but even light armor is able to resist a large amount of the damage they cause.
