A fact from James Fugaté appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 10 November 2017 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows: Did you know... that James Fugaté was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after it was revealed that he wrote Quatrefoil: A Modern Novel under the pen name James Barr? The article currently states: "In 1942, he joined the United States Navy.[5] After World War II ended, he worked in advertising until publishing his first novel, Quatrefoil: A Modern Novel, in 1950." It then goes on to mention that Fugaté was honorably discharged from the Navy after it became known that he was the author of Quatrefoil.

I am just wondering how to reconcile the "worked in advertising until...1950" with the "honorably discharged after it became known."
