Biola University is a private Christian college, located in Los Angeles. It offers a variety of undergraduate and professional programs, all of which are based on evangelical Christianity. Originally founded in 1908 as the Bible Institute, it was renamed Biola College in 1949, and assumed its current name in 1981. Its stated mission is "is biblically-centered education, scholarship, and service: equipping men and women in mind and character to impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ."
