The A1079 is a road that links York and Kingston upon Hull, both in Yorkshire, England. It takes the following route


About the road

Much of the road is single carriageway, although a 1.8km stretch of the Beverley bypass and a 2.5km stretch near Shiptonthorpe are Dual carriageway. The majority of the road is National Speed Limit (60mph on single carriageway sections, 70mph on dual carriageway sections). Speed Cameras are currently being installed on the stretch of the road between Kingston upon Hull and Market Weighton.
