Heidelberg University (Ohio)
Heidelberg college is a small liberal arts school located in Tiffin, Ohio. Heidelberg has a student-faculty radio of 12:1, with almost 85 percent of its senior faculty holding doctoral degrees. Heidelberg College enrolls about 1,600 students from numerous states and several foreign countries.
Heidelberg was founded in 1850 by the German Reformed Church. The past 18 surveys by “U.S. News and World Report” magazine ranks Heidelberg College as One of America's Best Colleges.
Heidelberg offers 29 majors and employs 87 full-time faculty. Students can earn bachelor of arts, bachelor of science or bachelor of music degrees at the undergraduate level, and master of arts degrees in education, counseling and business administration.
The campus is small which makes it very easy for students to walk to classes, and is built on a 110-acre campus. The college is made up of 26 buildings, 10 which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Heidelberg is affiliated with NCAA Division III athletics and belongs to the AMC (American Mideast Conference) league. This is known as one of the most competitive league in Division III NCAA athletics.
