Original is a Spanish-Wikipedia Artículos destacados and, as far as I can tell, the only featured article that has not been translated or didn't not have an equivalent English language article.

I have translated a good portion of the article but my Spanish is poor, and not nearly good enough for specialized knowledge translation. The structure is far along: I have imported all the images and references, formatted the article similar to the original, and have polished with multiple piped links and research. All that is needed is for untranslated paragraphs to be completed. Such untranslated paragraphs appear in the article in their proper places, and are surrounded by tags making them easy to locate and translate without searching for where they should appear.

I'm working on this translation (renewable energy), I'll take it out of here when it's finished. --RiseRover|talk 11:04, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Translation was finished in March by RiseRover and is now available at Renewable energy in the European Union
I am working on polishing the translation. However, this task can be performed by multiple editors concurrently (ah, the joys of Wikipedia)

Wiki article and linked spanish article refer to a creole dialect spoken in Costa Rica. It's Spanish/English/Jamaican pidgin. Span article is quite extensive and interesting and has much, much more than the English entry. AnFu. 20 march 2006 AnFu 02:41, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If it's a specialized dialect and/or a mixed language though it's gonna be a pain in the ass to translate for anyone who doesn't know the dialect. Pegasus1138Talk | Contribs | Email ---- 23:28, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm on it. Webdinger TALK | 01:43, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Most of the article content has already been translated into English from Spanish, or contains facts that are both in the English and Spanish versions. Right now I don't feel a need to translate. Maybe removal from this list might be okay. Webdinger TALK | 01:46, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  2. I checked in a lengthier article on Jorge Guillén a few days ago, which is based in part on the Spanish version but is still stubbish. But then the Spanish version is pretty stubbish itself. --Ngb 17:49, 10 Nov 2004 (GMT)

Like it says at the top of the page, "Never use machine translation to create an article!" If someone wants to clean these up, great, if someone wants to put the machine translations on VfD, fine; these still need decent translations. Any other approaches also welcome. -- Jmabel | Talk 05:27, July 14, 2005 (UTC)

Remember that a "completed" translation can always be improved by people who do not speak the language from which it was translated — if you enjoy copyediting, browse these articles and tidy up any unnatural-sounding language which might have slipped in.

Former Spanish Translations of the Week always need copyediting and can be found at /History.
