Number of governor races

[edit]

The fact box at the top right says there are 38 elections for governor. However, the rest of the article refers to 36 state races and 3 territory races - so the total should be either 36 or 39, depending on whether territories are included. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.180.128.10 (talk) 14:53, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Updated Senate Elections Map

[edit]

With the election of Ed Markey in the Massachusetts special election, the map needs to be updated. I have an updated version but can't figure out how to upload it. User:Jsabolish (talk) 22:31, 23 July 2013 (EST)

Mayoral elections

Why does the list of mayoral elections need to be in prose? Trent (talk) 20:44, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Milestones

[edit]

The following appears in the Milestones subsection of the results section: "Joni Ernst, elected to the Senate from Iowa, became the first female combat veteran elected to the U.S. Congress, the first woman ever elected on a statewide level in Iowa, and the first woman ever elected to the U.S. Congress from Iowa." Is Joni Ernst the first female combat veteran elected to the U.S. Congress? What about Tammy Duckworth, elected to the House in 2013? Isn't she a female combat veteran elected to Congress prior to Ernst? Verkhovensky (talk) 00:49, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That was the House of Representatives where as the quote you give clearly refers to the Senate 109.158.185.216 (talk) 17:53, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The quote I refer to says "Joni Ernst, elected to the Senate from Iowa, became the first female combat veteran elected to the U.S. Congress . . ." The United States Congress includes both the House and the Senate. Verkhovensky (talk) 23:59, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It seems someone (possibly Verkhovensky) edited the section to resolve this concern. I'm about to edit this section in the page to remove a tendentious milestone concerning George P. Bush - it doesn't seem notable to me, though I'm happy to discuss it. Airbornemihir (talk) 16:35, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Map is inaccurate

NH-2 is shaded so as to indicate that Annie Kuster lost her seat, but she in fact held it! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maxdunitz (talkcontribs) 02:58, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
