pre order Apple Vision Pro in the UK The camera will not identify my face

I’ve been excited for this launch and waiting for today. I’ve tried this process several times with no success. So you open pre order on Apple Vision Pro and you are asked to scan your face. I position my face within the square space and nothing happens. I’ve moved it closer and it says too close… I’ve moved if further away and it says move closer. Nothing happens when my face is in the correct position. Help? I’m currently using an iPhone 14 max
