American Civil War

1861–1865 civil war in the United States between the North and the South
English: The American Civil War (1861–1865) was an insurrection fought between the United States of America and several rebellious slave-owning states in the southern U.S., known as the "Confederate States". The latter was defeated, with slavery in the U.S. being ended as a result. Over a thousand public domain images are available from The Library of Congress. (These should be imported and categorized.)
