The Canadian Concrete Pipe & Precast Association (CCPPA) would like to thank the many engineering professionals from the City of Calgary, EPCOR, City of Lethbridge, and local consulting engineering firms that visited Precon to witness the external joint testing of concrete pipe. Special thanks to Hamilton Kent in setting up the demonstration of the Straub coupler used to perform an isolated joint test. This method of hydrostatic test minimizes the assembly of test equipment needed, and can also permit a wider range of test pressures for concrete pipe joints. The Deep Seal gasket was used with the concrete pipe for this hydrostatic test.
