Ksenia Vitkova is a talented Russian-Israeli product designer based in Israel. She started her career working in branding agencies before becoming a product designer. In addition, Ksenia enjoys creating logos and illustrations as a hobby. She juggles all with her role as a dedicated mother of two. 

Ksenia’s path to becoming a designer was not a straight one. She embarked on various career paths before finding her way to her first design position. Working primarily on infographics and presentations, this opportunity allowed her to combine her love for drawing with data processing. At the same time, she completed her Master’s degree in Visual Communication, which marked the beginning of her design career. Ksenia emphasizes that real-life experiences and actual work tasks are key to her ongoing learning process.

How Ksenia works

When it comes to her design process as a logo maker, Ksenia’s approach differs slightly from working directly with clients. Research plays a crucial role in both cases. She investigates industries with minimal representation, particularly those where her style is not yet well-represented and would be a better fit. This helps her explore visual metaphors, palettes, and trends associated with the industry or keyword she aims to cover. Her hand-drawn drafts and notes are refined through vectorization for better scalability and adaptability, resulting in strong designs that retain their charm.

Ksenia’s style in a nutshell

Ksenia doesn’t consider herself a trend follower. However, she appreciates the extreme psychedelic plasticity of current typographical trends and occasionally checks for font updates on Google to explore this niche. She has also observed a shift in trends toward wilder color combinations, replacing the previous trend of mild organic palettes in a way she finds refreshing. 

This endlessly curious artist believes that any type of design- whether product, industrial, graphic or anything else- can truly impact people’s lives in what she hopes is a positive way.
