How can you ensure your consumer journey map is accurate?
Everything comes back to measurement. Campaign spikes should be as closely attributed as possible (be it via technology or regression analysis) in an attempt to shrink the unknown. By understanding the causal relationships between channels, creative and variables, large portions of previously unidentifiable pieces of measurement are uncovered. By having this in place, you’ll have a more pulse-related insight into journey mapping, rather than anecdotal, and sometimes accurately misleading data driving you toward some form of action.

Validate and connect user action not observation. Through tailored measurement, either via data-driven attribution, or how, more complex mathematical modelling, quantify the impact your channel mix, messaging and creative is having on your users (prospective and existing customers).
