Meet Sarah & Ava 👋 Shortly after Ava was born, Sarah was drawn to Rosies to connect with others. As a single mum she struggled with isolation, but found comfort at Rosies outreach. “For a few hours each week, I get a break from having to do everything myself and I don’t feel alone. Toowoomba volunteers Joe & Anne had a fantastic time attending the Queensland Gives celebration alongside the other grant recipients. It was a fantastic morning chatting with the QLD Gives team and the other providers who work tirelessly to ensure that members of the Toowoomba community feel loved and cared for. Rosies have distributed over 1,200 blankets to our friends on the street in the last 6 months, offering some comfort during hard times ❤️ Want to volunteer and support those around you? We are so grateful for the continued support of Collins Foods Limited. Last year they filled the cab and the tray of our Fundraising Manager's UTE with brand new warm and cozy blankets! This year they have truly outdone themselves and collected more than 450 brand new blankets for our friends in need. Meet Cindy👋 After waiting seven years to gain access to stable accommodation through social housing, Cindy turned to Rosies in her time of need. “When I first got into housing, I wasn’t coming to Rosies as much because people would say to me, ‘You can’t go there, you’ve got accommodation’ but I’m not wealthy and the Rosies people never said that to me.” Rosies offers people at every stage of their lives somewhere to go, a connection to have, and a warm cuppa.
