Curious about what an Escape micro-grid looks like from a #technical point of view? 🚜🐄 The Willows Pastoral BESS solution integrates a PowerPlus Escape20 and Escape60, creating what is commonly known as a micro-grid. Now, the McNeils can easily power their 3-phase robotic equipment and independently run their farm without disrupting the network during peak load times or having blackout concerns. Here's a rundown! - Both Escapes are paired with 16 PowerPlus Energy LiFe4838P Batteries totalling 60.8kWh. - The Escape60 serves as our rectifier solution, accepting split phase input from the grid to charge the batteries when required. - The Escape20 provides the 3-phase power for automated robotic equipment and additional site amenities. - The system is paired with 40kW of AC coupled solar meaning the 24/7 dairy can run through the night with the batteries storing excess solar. Safe to say it was a great time at McNeil Dairy Farm Open Day with GEA Farming and DTS! 🌾🐄 Changing our usual event backdrop to this beautiful farm was a refreshing change.
