A rising proportion of the estimated 700,000-plus older Australians who live in rental accommodation are falling into poverty or homelessness as the country’s housing crisis worsens. Housing for the Aged Action Group (HAAG) helps people over 50 break this cycle and move into affordable long-term housing. This week we hosted nearly 200 guests at our annual corporate event in Melbourne, our cocktail function and private viewing of the NGV Winter Masterpieces. Director Catherine Robson welcomed guests at this year's exhibition which saw the NGV partnering with the British Museum to present Pharaoh. Recent fund launches: global fixed income popular - though greatest value flowing into global equities. Of the latest 100 funds launched into the Australian investment market by leading independent responsible entity Equity Trustees, the greatest number (19) were for global fixed income. This was followed by 18 new Australian equity funds. There were some 16 alternative funds and an equal number of global equities, domestic real assets and Australian fixed income funds (13 of each), according to The 100 – which uses the sample of the last 100 funds launched in the same period each year to compare trends.
