Zelda Links Awakening Launches This September for the Switch

It’s been a while since we heard anything from Nintendo about the remake of Zelda Links Awakening. Now, thanks to the Nintendo Direct today, we know exactly when it will release, and it’s very soon! The Legend of Zelda Links Awakening will launch this September 20, 2019.

We also got a brand new trailer to go along with the reveal, and the game looks like it’s development has been going very well. We get to see Link run around and traverse through thr island while finding hidden secrets and unlocking more weapons to use. In addition, the trailer also shows a brand new feature where you can make your own dungeon, including the full layout and challenges of how the player must get through it.

If for some reason you have’t heard of this title in the past 30 plus years, Links Awakening was the first game in the series to be offered for Nintendo’s handheld system the Game Boy. Depsite the hardware’s limitations, it was a critical and commercial success, making it one of the most successful games in the franchise. The only thing that made us feel a little bit unnerved was that Links eyes are completely black, which is a hard to look at. Still, we can’t wait out get our hands on this one, and it comes out soon!
