Read and write speeds have never been a problem for me, have saved and reopened hundreds of large project files and it never felt slow. I've also still not filled up the storage yet, though it will need some clearing soon. Still, I've brought this around the country, played tracks from it live, thrown it in bags, kept it in pockets, had it in use for hours at a time, and haven't had a single problem. I might buy a second one to use as a backup drive...
