Prizes

What do the businesses win?

The Xero Beautiful Business Fund offers more than NZ$750,000 in funding to winning small businesses. Funding will be awarded to winners at a country and global level.

Will I need to pay tax on any winnings?

Prize winners are responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial, and local taxes, if any, and any other unspecified expenses associated with acceptance or use/misuse of the funding prize.

How will the funds be paid to winners?

The individual will receive the prize money directly via bank transfer to their bank account.

Can a small business win in multiple funding categories?

Each country winner can only win in one funding category (even if they enter in more than one) and each global winner can only win in one funding category. You can read more information in the T&Cs here.

Winners

When would winners find out if they’ve won?

Prize winners will be notified at the end of October 2024 via email or phone based on the information provided during the entry process.

We will not be able to individually notify people if they have not become a winner.

Are there any requirements to be declared a winner?

The prize winners will be required to reply, confirming their email address, formal company name, full company mailing address and phone number within (48) hours of notification.

The prize winners will be required to execute a talent release form, and W-9 taxpayer request for identification (U.S. only).

If any prize winner fails or refuses to sign and return all requested documents within five (5) business days of notification, the prize winner may be disqualified and an alternate prize winner may be selected.
