...If ever implemented T_T. Well anyway, first of all, there would be a Brood mother. Brood mothers would spawn in the sides of mountains, and theyre quite rare, they mostly spawn in swamp and taiga biomes, and they usually spawn every 100th chunk.. Her cave would be large and the outside is outlined with obsidian, and it has two small wings that branch off to the left and right, one side would have eggs and the other would have baby dragons. The brood mother spawns eggs every 3 MC days, and they will hatch every 2 MC days. You cannot steal the eggs, but rather you have to kill the brood mother to get her dragonscale. Which is about a 60% drop. If you get her dragon scale you must craft a Draconic Disk like this:
= Gold block = Dragonscale
The Dragonscale will allow you to take control of the brood mother (not like use her to kill stuff, it will only subdue her to not attack you) This has a 50% chance of working, and if it dosent work she will become enraged...and her babies will come to help her...also it is consumed on use, even if it fails. Once she is subdued this allows you to collect her eggs, but you can only collect one. Also, her babies will still attack you. To hatch your egg you must put it on a gold block, surround it in lava, keep it as hot as possible or it will die. (thus, you can go collect a new one after two weeks if it DIES) It will hatch as a baby dragon, which you must take out to feed pigs every day for it to grow, then it will become a dragon, and it will grow small horns and it will be a bit larger, you must then feed it cows (it takes 3 MC weeks to make it turn into a dragon, then 4 more weeks to make it a Wyrm) A wyrm is a fully grown dragon with large horns and is now rideable, and it is quite large. You must obtain a saddle to ride it, it can also shoot fire breathe but will only attack zombies, skeletons, and cows.
And one other thing, the other dragons that hatch after you've subdued the broodmother will not attack you, and once your dragon dies (a long time...haven't figured that out yet) you can take one, but you will not be able to ride it. it will merely kick you off. but you can take an unhatched egg. You CAN kill the broodmother, but she will attack back. and you can try to make a new Draconic Disk and try to subdue more broodmothers, and get more dragons.
Broodmother: 10 hearts, hits for 1.5 hearts.
Dragon Babies: 3 hearts, hit for 0.5 hearts. There are about 3 dragon babies per brood mother cave.
edit: fixed it up a bit.
Okay so let me get this straight..
You'd have to find a very very rare cave. And kill a giant dragon in order for it to very rarely drop a scale. So you can make a disk that pretty much never works?
And even then you'd have to wait a few weeks for it to even hatch. IF you can get it to the proper conditions before it dies.
To rare of an occasion for everything to go right for me to think this will be fun, either make a brood mother easier to find, the dragon scale more common, or at the very least make the eggs easier to hatch, not as finicky as to what conditions will kill them and make the dragons that hatch not die unless a large health bar is depleted.
