Thanks for doing such a great map; I've been using it ever since you first released it, and it actually sparked my interest in creating maps. Now, I've use Worldpainter and create massive maps, most of which hit the pop reel on planetminecraft.com. You've definitely helped me stay interested in Minecraft, and have given me so much to do when bored. Thank you.
Thanks, that means a lot to me. Why don't you send me a link.
Today I got started on the next update, Above you can basically see what the next biome will look like, as well as my start on the unique architecture for the area. Never mind the big orb thing, thats always been there.
I know it’s been a long time since I've posted an update in this thread. I have to give thanks to all the people who've downloaded the map, and many thanks to those who've been posting series on YouTube. I've been saving a lot of new content for Sphere for the 1.5 update. Please don’t think I've given up on the project. Here’s a little sneak peak.
Oh, and needless to say I`ve been working on fixing some bugs, and keeping pace with the weekly updates.
Keeps crashing on me when I load it. Can you make it work with the latest Minecraft?
To my knowledge no one has had this issue before. The map is par for the latest update. If you have 13w01b and you can make a few steps before it crashes, I would recommend letting the world load around you for a bit. The world isn't being created as you go, your game has to load the chunks from the directory on the save file. Its harder to load pre-existing chunks that aren't dedicated to memory, than to make up new procedurally generated chunks. When you're loading ten at a time this isn't an issue but at far render settings your game has to load hundreds of chunks at once. My recommendation is that you start your game on tiny and work your way up.

Hey thanks, Were you from the /vg/ thread with the guy starting the LP, or the 1.5.1 update?

That looks great, what program did you use?

I aim to please, I wouldn't post it on /vg/ if I didn't think it deserved it.
1.4.1, I think its a problem on your end.
What version of minecraft are you using, I wonder if it is compatible with 1.4.4
