No sure if this mod still update,but it's very interesting,hope it can be continuted.
And I had some suggestion.
First of all,I had to say……this mod is a destroyer of Inventory ,ton of Research Page and Failed Item which can't be stacked eacher other cram the Inventory and chest.
I had two idea about how to solve the problem.
About fail item,make it could use to "random recipe"(just like what Randomite do) is a way to let it become useful,random recipe should affect by probability of recipe success too.So, if random recipe succeed,the fail item reduce and player acquire some reward after suffer material loss;if fail,fail item also reduce step by step.(of course,random recipe should not provide some high value item,maybe you can add blacklist and whitelist in config )
About Research Page, provide a special book(gui) to storage and use it maybe a good idea to save Inventory.
Anyways,thanks a lot for your work,recipe research and rouletteores already become resident mod in my private pack

i just submitted a crash report on the github issue page, "java.lang.NullPointerException: Rendering screen". i really like the idea of this mod, would love to be able to use it in my private realistic modpack!! btw Enviromine is one of my favorite mods!
i love the idea of having to 'learn' how to craft something before being able to craft it. the mod is super buggy in its current state though. don't stop development!

I too tried to research a torch and I had the rendering screen crash! Funwayguy, please fix!

Can you add a config option to remove the "Research: X%" line from item description?
Because 1. I want it on 4 or 5 items only but it applies to everything 2. it shows incorrectly sometimes.
