SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 2, 2021) – Today Fandom, the fan-first global entertainment media brand, announced the first “Muthead Tyson® Bowl,” to be held on the Big Game weekend. The event will be broadcast live on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 8pm EST on Fandom’s Muthead Twitch channel.

For the past six weeks, 16 of the top Madden professionals in the world have gone head to head, with the top six players qualifying for the playoffs and a chance to compete for $15,000 in the Muthead Tyson® Bowl.

The Tyson Bowl will be a celebration for the Madden community, featuring top competitive Madden players, exclusive giveaways, and celebrity guest caster Joe Thomas, retired Cleveland Browns offensive lineman, who will serve as host for the Tyson® Bowl, including the pre-game show. Streamcasters Nick Mizesko and Reginald “Boogz” Brown will be calling the Tyson® Bowl action.

“With a year like no other, we love how gaming has continued to unite and excite people and we couldn’t be happier to bring together these ultimate gamers with the Muthead Tyson® Bowl tournament,” said Anna Mauloff, brand manager, Tyson® Any’tizers Brand. “Gamers near and far can experience what we love most about this weekend – the game, friendly rivalries, victory dances and of course, delicious food. We cannot wait to see the action and fans enjoying the bold flavors of Tyson Any’tizers snacks to help fuel them with protein as they compete.”

“Through Fandom’s expanded partnership with the team at Tyson® Any’tizers Brand, we are thrilled to continue providing exclusive opportunities for our gaming community,” said Sean Kiely, Head of Gaming and Esports Sales at Fandom. “Muthead League and Tyson® have already delivered an exciting season of competitive Madden at the highest level, and we are looking forward to celebrating its culmination on the biggest weekend in sports with the Tyson® Bowl!”

The Tyson® Bowl will feature six of the biggest names in Madden, including Shay “Young Kiv” Kivlen, 2018 EA Madden Bowl Champion, and Pavan Lakhat, 2019 EA Madden Club Champion.

“I’m excited to compete in the first ever Muthead Tyson® Bowl,” added Pavan Lakhat. “I’m grateful to Tyson and Muthead for supporting competitive Madden and making exceptional opportunities like this possible for the community.”
