About the CCDC

The Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC) is a global leader in structural chemistry data, software, and knowledge for materials and life sciences research and development.

Specializing in the collation, preservation, and application of scientific structural data, CCDC offers the renowned Cambridge Structural Database (CSD), a trusted resource containing fully curated organic and metal-organic structures utilized by researchers worldwide.

In addition to providing essential data services, CCDC is committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists through educational outreach and programs including PhD sponsorships.

As a non-profit organization, CCDC empowers scientists from diverse backgrounds to achieve their research goals through initiatives like the FAIRE Access Programme.

With a vision to inspire structural science and contribute to a better world, CCDC’s strategic priorities focus on advancing data accessibility, driving scientific impact, fostering professional development, and delivering value to stakeholders across the globe.
