International Journal of Disaster Risk Science (IJDRS) is a peer-reviewed open access journal, addressing theoretical and methodological issues in all areas of disaster risk science, policy, and practice.

  • Prioritizing research articles that are problem-driven and solution-oriented, providing insights on major disasters in a timely fashion.
  • Linked to the Future Earth–Integrated Risk Governance (IRG) Project and the IDRiM Society, fostering integrated disaster risk science.
  • Open access with publication costs fully sponsored, so authors do not need to pay an article-processing charge (APC).
