Who we are

The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) is an interdisciplinary research centre of the University of Luxembourg. We play an instrumental role in Europe by fuelling innovation in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services.

We’re looking for people driven by excellence, excited about innovation, and looking to make a difference. If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place!

The centre attracts talented researchers from all over the world to work on collaborative projects with industry and the public sector.

We invite researchers from diverse academic backgrounds to contribute to our projects in areas such as: network security, information assurance, model-driven security, cloud computing, cryptography, satellite systems, vehicular network

A stimulating learning environment

Benefit from the supervision of internationally recognised experts and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in ICT research. With a high ratio of academics and post-docs to doctoral candidates, you’ll have access to guidance from colleagues with various levels of experience.

At our two campuses, researchers benefit from exciting infrastructures and unique labs: they can take a walk on the moon at the LunaLab, build a nanosatellite, or help make autonomous vehicles even better.

Looking to connect to the business world? Through our Partnership Programme, our researchers engage in demand-driven projects . We also host several networking events, such as Partnership Day, where you can talk about your research with a CEO or a Minister.

Outstanding Benefits

The University of Luxembourg offers a competitive salary package, over six weeks of paid time off, on top of public holidays. Family is important to us, so staff members can benefit from maternity and parental leave and 40 hours of personal time off each year to facilitate private appointments, when needed.

You also benefit from top-notch health insurance. Every University employee is automatically enrolled in the national  health scheme (CNS), offering coverage in Luxembourg and in the EU.  You will also benefit from travel insurance both for your personal and professional trips. Public transportation is free in Luxembourg!

Solid administrative support

We support researchers in acquiring funding from national, European and private sources. Public research is mainly funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR). Check out SnT’s latest FNR, EU and ESA Projects here.

All research teams also receive reliable and extensive support for all administrative tasks – from guidance on the University’s procedures to funding proposals, logistics, filing travel expenses. This enables our researchers to focus fully on their projects.

Speaking of travelling, SnT actively encourages all our researchers to attend relevant conferences around the world. If you ever want to host a conference in Luxembourg, we’ve got you covered, too.

We attract top talent from around the world, and I am proud to lead such a skilled and diverse team.
