"No Normal" is the sixth episode and series finale of the Disney+ streaming television miniseries Ms. Marvel and was released on July 13, 2022. It was written by Will Dunn and A.C. Bradley & Matthew Chauncey, after a story by Will Dunn, and directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.

Back in New Jersey, Kamala fights to save her friends from the clutches of Damage Control.

Back in New Jersey, Kamala finds Kamran and protects him from Damage Control who will stop at nothing to take him in.

Release[]

"No Normal" was released on the streaming service Disney+ on July 13, 2022.

The fifth and sixth episodes were released together, theatrically and exclusively in Pakistan, between July 15 to July 21, 2022, due to Disney+ not being available in the region.

On July 14, 2023, ABC reported that the the series, would broadcast on their channel, ahead of Ms. Marvel's theatrical debut in The Marvels on November 10, with the last three episodes airing on ABC on Saturday, August 12, 2023.[1]

The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported a 95% approval rating with an average score of 8.10/10 based on 19 reviews."[2]

Trivia[]

  • The episode shares the title of Ms. Marvel's first comic series.
  • This episode features multiple references to the series premeire:
    • Muneeba tells Kamala she trusts her, while stating she didn't in the first episode.
    • Muneeba crafts Kamala's superhero costume. In the first episode, Muneeba attempted to make Kamala a cosplay for her trip to AvengerCon.
    • Kamala is handed her superhero costume in an old toffee box. When her grandmother sent her the bangle, it was exported in an old toffee box too.
    • Kamala displays a plan to stop the DODC agents from capturing Kamran, on a chalkboard, with a featured animted sequence. In the first episode, Kamala's plan to attend AvengerCon was done so, in a similar manner.
    • Bruno created a chemical reaction within the science labratory, creating a vast amount of foam, to delay the DODC agents. In the premiere, Kamala accidentally created the same reaction, while fantasising in class.
    • Towards the end of the episode, Kamala poses in front of the mirror, with her superhero costume, satisfied with her reflection. In the premiere, Kamala felt uneasy while looking at herself, in her Captain Marvel cosplay.
    • Upon seeing Kamala's powers, Yusuf describes them as "absolute magic". He used the same phrase, when talking about the Zuzu.
  • The blue squares in Kamala's suit is the shape of the tesseract that held the space stone, which gave Carol Danvers her powers.
  • Tyesha asks Kamala if her powers need to recharge, a reference to DC character Green Lantern.
    • When Ms. Marvel's power change was revealed, it drew many comparisons to to the DC superhero.
  • The QR code behind a food station leads you to the comic book where Bruno confesses his love for Kamala, which is hinted throughout the show.
  • Behind the vender, there is an A sanitation grade that is dated March 14, 2025, confirming this series takes place in 2025.
  • Bruno and Kamran both wear hats as disguises that is keeping up with the running joke throughout the MCU.
  • Nakia says "Get in losers, we're getting shawarma", which is a refrence to the Mean Girls quote "Get in loser, we're going shopping" and the posct-credit scene in The Avengers where the heroes ate shawarma after the Battle of New York.
  • Archive footage from this episode was used in The Marvels.
