Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

The soy sauce came in "Travel Packs", which is what I was hoping to use the sauce for anyway. There's 12 packs of 20 in the box, which is probably way more than I'm ever going to need, but luckily I know a few Celiacs to hand some off to. I'm sure they'll be excited. I never knew that regular soy sauce had wheat in it, so it was nice to find a replacement product. I can't tell a difference from regular soy sauce. I've gotten this exact package from a major chain Chinese restaurant before, so I knew it must be good. The little packets make it very convenient to pop in your purse if you're going out for sushi. This is a great product.
It's great for travel and visiting local restaurants since I'm gluten intolerant. One thing I would request is that you offer this product with less salt.
I was pretty excited to see this product available but when it showed up every single packet has the contents on it - "contains organic wheat." kinda hard to be gluten free when it has wheat in it...
My husband has a gluten allergy and I was happy to find that there are gluten free individual soy sauce packages so we can go out for sushi! I do use the low sodium Tamari soy sauce from San J Organic at home and really did not expect the regular version to be sooo salty. We will have to try it with lots of wasabi and maybe dilute it a little with water. I really wish that the low sodium soy sauce would be available in the individual packages, too.
I am not sure what the other reviewer is referring to but the Organic Gluten Free Tamari travel packs are gluten free. I almost didn't order this because of the reviewer. I rushed to my pantry and pulled out the bottle of Tamari that I have to cook with and could find nothing that the reviewer referred to as having wheat in it. I have a gluten allergy. I am bummed when I go out for sushi & the establishment does not carry Tamari (wheat free soy sauce) so I usually fill a little container from home when I go out for sushi (often). When I saw the travel packs I was thrilled and ordered it. On the packaging, it states that it is certified gluten free. The ingredients are: Water, Organic Soybeans, Salt, Organic Alcohol. I give this 5 solid stars.
For anyone who needs to be able to eat sushi or other asian food at restaurants but has celiac these tamari packets are the perfect solution. I carry a few with me wherever I go and can easily use them to augment meals that might otherwise be pretty unappealing (imagine sushi without soy sauce). While this deal is very well priced I think I would rather have fewer packets, a 120 count pack would be much more reasonable. That being said, purchasing even one of these 20 count boxes (of which you get ten if you purchase this product) at a brick and mortar store would cost about $7 so it is a good deal.
The ability to get gluten-free soy sauce in individual packets is great. But I was a little stunned to stock up on the bulk size of 240 packages, only to discover when they arrived that they all expire in two and half months. Not impressed with that aspect of the product.
These packets are so easy to carry and are essential to eating gluten free when eating out. They also enable you to add flavor to the bland dishes that are labeled gluten free. The 240 count package size was the most cost efficient size for our family as we have 3 family members who need to be gluten free.
